The app aims to simplify online payments and card management, offering users a user-friendly interface and a range of convenient features. This case study will outline the UI design, UX research, mobile app screens, and user flows for Wizz App.
UX Research and Design Process
2.1 User Research
Before diving into the design phase, our team conducted comprehensive user research to understand the target audience’s needs, pain points, and expectations from an e-banking app. The research involved interviews, surveys, and usability testing sessions with potential users, both existing customers of other banking apps and new users.
2.2 User Personas
Based on the gathered insights, we developed two primary user personas for Wizz App:
Persona 1: Frequent Shopper – A tech-savvy individual who enjoys online shopping and frequently makes digital payments using various cards.
Persona 2: Financial Planner – A cautious and organized individual who seeks better ways to manage finances and prefers secure payment methods.
UI Design
3.1 Branding and Visual Identity
The branding of Wizz App incorporates a modern, approachable, and trustworthy visual identity. We chose a color palette of vibrant blues and soft greys to evoke a sense of security and professionalism. The typography consists of a clean and legible sans-serif font for enhanced readability.
3.2 Home Screen
The home screen of Wizz App welcomes users with a clean and intuitive layout. It features a summary of their bank account balance, recent transactions, and shortcuts to frequently used features like card management and payments.
3.3 Card Management
In the card management section, users can view all their stored cards and easily add or remove cards. A visually appealing card stack metaphor is used to represent different cards, allowing users to swipe through them effortlessly.
3.4 Payment Screen
The payment screen is designed to be simple and straightforward. Users can enter payment details, select the desired card, and confirm the transaction with a fingerprint or face ID for added security.
User Flows
4.1 New User Onboarding
The onboarding process aims to make it easy for new users to sign up and create an account. A step-by-step guide leads users through the process of adding their cards and personal details while emphasizing the app’s security measures.
4.2 Making a Payment
When a user decides to make a payment, they can access the payment screen from various entry points, such as the home screen or merchant checkout page. The payment flow guides the user through selecting the payment method, verifying transaction details, and completing the payment with a simple confirmation.
